Magliano is an Italian-Polish comedian based in London, who made the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2018 and the Funny Women Award in 2020. On stage, she is an exceptionally confident, warm, and funny comedian, who is highly recommended.
I have seen Magliano perform both live and online at Always Be Comedy in 2021 and 2022. I also saw her debut solo Edinburgh Fringe show, Absolutely No Worries If Not, in 2022.

In this episode, I talk to the GEOFF ROWE, the founder of the Leicester Comedy Festival.
Rowe, and a group of student friends, set up the annual event in 1994, when they were studying Arts Management at Leicester’s De Montfort University. Every February since, the comedy festival has played host to a wealth of comedy performances attracting visitors from all over the country. In 2023, after celebrating the 30th anniversary, Rowe has stepped down. and created an extraordinary legacy. The event plans to continue in 2024 (from 7th to 25th February) and will carry on Rowe’s legacy. In 2023, Rowe was presented with the Outstanding Legend Award at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards. Over the years, the 19-day festival has grown to become one of the longest-running independent festivals in the UK.
I have been going to the Leicester Comedy Festival every year since 2020 and have seen amazing comedians including Arthur Smith, Alex Bennett, Flo & Joan, Sara Barron, Steve Bujega, Jarred Christmas, Marcus Brigstocke, Lloyd Griffith, Scott Bennett, Gary Jennision, Jed Salisbury, Vix Leyton, Rich Wilson, Garrett Millerick, Masai Graham, Kirsty Munro, Fred Ferenczi, Rob Rouse, Ian Stone, Darren Walsh, Sikisa, Josh Pugh, Lou Conran, Daniel Petrie, Aideen McQueen, Kevin O’Brien, Eddie Mullarkey, Eric Rushton, Jurgen Strack, Friz Frizzle, Edi Johnson, Steve Royle, Alisdair Beckett-King and Michelle Shaugnessy.

Francis Foster is a brilliant stand-up comedian who regularly performs at UK comedy clubs, as well as all over the world. His writing credits include Mock The Week for the BBC, and in 2018, he began co-hosting the podcast TRIGGERnometry with fellow comedian Konstantin Kisin, which has achieved enormous success.
I have seen Foster on stage for Birdies Comedy in 2014, Always Be Comedy in 2016 and for Angel Comedy at the Camden Head, Islington in 2017 all in London.

In this episode, I talk to the fantastic comedian, JOSH PUGH, about his comedy career.
Pugh is an British stand-up comedian and actor. He began performing in 2014 and in that year as well as 2015, he won the Midlands New Act of The Year. In 2015, he also won new act competitions at both the Birmingham Comedy Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival and in 2016 he won the English Comedian of the Year. He has become a regular on the comedy circuit and is on tour in 2023 with his solo show Sausage, Egg, Josh Pugh, Chips and Beans.
I have seen Pugh perform for Always Be Comedy online in 2020, 2021 and 2022, Always Be Comedy live in 2021 and 2022, and solo show Josh Pugh: Danger, High Loltage (work in progress) at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2022.

In this episode, I talk to the wonderful comedian, STEVE BUGEJA, about his comedy career.
Bugeja is a regular in comedy clubs and is also a writer and actor. Co-creating and appearing in the ITV 2 sitcom, Buffering (with Iain Stirling) and has been part of the main writing team for Stirling’s ITV 2 comedy quiz show, Celebability and The Russell Hour for Sky Television. He won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2013 and has since had five successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and been on two national tours. An extremely funny and unique comic performer on stage, he has razor-sharp wit and delivers each story and joke with brilliant precision and timing.
I have seen Bugeja perform for Always Be Comedy in London in 2017, Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of The Fringe in Edinburgh in 2018, Always Be Comedy in 2021, his work-in-progress solo show Tried To Start His Own Nickname in 2021 for the Leicester Comedy Festival and supporting Iain Stirling on tour at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London in 2022.

In this episode, I talk to the brilliant comedian PAUL TONKINSON, about his comedy career.
Tonkinson is an extraordinary live performer. Winning the 1992 Time Out New Act of the Year Award and the Time Out Stand-Up Comic of the Year in 1997, he is a regular headlining act on the comedy circuit. Famed for his lively visual and physicality and accurate parodies, his first-rate material on every-day life is hysterical. He has been tour-support for Michael McIntyre in 2013, 2015 and 2021 and, on television, he has also hosted Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast and the BBC’s The Sunday Show.
I have seen Tonkinson perform for Headliners Comedy Club in 2015, Banana Cabaret in 2017, Always Be Comedy in 2017 and 2020 and supporting Michael McIntyre at the Leicester Square Theatre, London in 2021.
